Tana aims to reinvent collaboration between humans, teams, and computers by reducing manual work and serving as a comprehensive system for knowledge management.Deep Service Report
Tana represents a significant evolution in the personal knowledge management space. Founded in 2020, the platform has positioned itself as a revolutionary tool that addresses the inefficiencies of traditional workplace tools that trap information in disconnected apps and documents. At the core of Tana’s functionality is its dynamic knowledge graph, which mirrors how users naturally think and connect information. This is complemented by “Supertags,” a feature that transforms unstructured information into structured data instantly. Supertags allow users to define custom data types like tasks, projects, and clients, enabling Tana’s AI to proactively manage workflows with context-aware automation. The platform integrates multiple AI models, primarily partnering with OpenAI while also utilizing Anthropic and Grok’s capabilities. These AI features can process various inputs, from voice memos to Zoom conversations, converting them into actionable items within the knowledge graph structure. Tana’s core philosophy revolves around reducing “manual computing,” where humans tediously move information between systems. Instead, the platform aims to make computers proactive tools that surface relevant data at the right moment, making AI-powered workflows feel intuitive rather than overwhelming. The company has gained significant market attention, with over 160,000 people reportedly joining their waitlist during the stealth development phase. In February 2025, Tana raised a \$14M Series A investment, bringing its total funding to \$25M, signaling strong investor confidence in its approach to knowledge management and AI integration.Country
